Nonprofit Overview
Mission: In partnership with the Detroit Police Department and community volunteers, Think Detroit PAL builds character in young people through athletic, academic, and leadership development programs.
Results: *TDP annually serves nearly 13,000 children, ages 4-19. *Think Detroit PAL aims to serve 1 in 10 Detroit kids *There are more than 160,000 young people aged 5 to 18 living in Detroit who are not involved in any type of after-school activity. *TDP runs one of the largest inner-city youth football programs in the country with over 80 teams *TDP renovated a Detroit riverfront park, making it one of the premier athletic fields in the City of Detroit through almost $1.2 million in improvements *TDP has won local, state and national awards for excellence in management and programming
