Mission: The ywca of brooklyn is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. The ywca furthers its mission by providing affordable, safe, permanent, housing for over 300 women; a community center dedicated to social justice advocacy, education and activism; and conveniently located offices, meeting and training facilities for our nonprofit and civic partners in the brooklyn community.

the ywcas social justice community center provides a nexus for progressive programming including girls empowerment, domestic violence prevention, economic self-sufficiency, holistic wellness, advocacy, lgbtq services, youth empowerment, senior fitness and services for young women who have been trafficked. Its meeting space is utilized by the public for community trainings, conferences, seminars and programs.
