Causes: Disaster Aid, Emergency Medical Services & Transport, Health, Search & Rescue Squads
Mission: Committed to provide quality emergency medical, rescue and dispatch services through our compassionate and caring volunteers and employees to the community and surrounding areas. Our service-oriented professionals strive for excellence through training and education.
Programs: In 2016 westerly ambulance corps responded to 6096 calls for help through its ambulance and rescue service that continues to provide top notch emergency services to area residents and those visiting or traveling through the area. In addition, the westerly ambulance corps provides dispatch services for 12 other area volunteer fire and ambulance associations.
the corps provides training to the community for first aid, cpr, etc. As part of regularly scheduled classes or upon request of the commumity at large by other sponsoring organizations.
the westerly ambulance corps provides annual scholarships to students who are entering health related fields of study. The amount provided to students in 2016 was $3,000.
