I have recently attended The Way to Work and my personal experience at this organization was not of what I hoped. Mostly youth of 20 and under go to this site. The staff there tell you one thing and do another. Some of the staff members don't talk back in a appropriate tone or manner. At first you set up a interview with their recruiter who explains how their organization works and how it can help you. Then the recruiter sets up a second interview with one of their instructors. In the second interview the instructor ask who am I what do i hope to gain from their program and why would I like to take their class. I answered the questions and explained my personal situation and why I believe the could help me. After this the Instructor accepted me in the program and explained to me "they would work with me".

At first the instructor seemed Ok to me. I was also told all the students must follow the dress code and to be on time. The first week I was dressed going by the dress code but the only thing i did not have was the proper shoes so I had plain black low boots instead and hoped to get the proper shoes i needed when I could. I was told this was Ok and that "we will work with you" if that is a problem. If there is a situation that made u show up late they say is Ok to call them and to let them know but the instructor had something else to say about that in a negative manner. I started to ask some of the other people attending the class, they told me they did not like the instructor and that they wanted to change the class but was unable to, I also started to feel that way and it only had been one week but i decided to give it a chance, big mistake!!. On the second week I wanted to change the class because I was unhappy with the way the class was being handled and and the instructor in it. Yes i wanted to get the hell out of there. After they told me I could change the class the next day the guidance consoler of the new class told me I could not go in the new class I started. after this i was ask why i still did not have the proper shoes and told the guidance consoler I am still not able to get them and was not sure when due to not working and that i was told "they wold work with me". Then the guidance consoler made a meeting and after that they say is Ok and then five minutes later i am told i cant attend the program because i don't have the proper "shoes".

This site is free but a wast of time and they lie to you to get their way. If you really need help don't go there, and yea don't take the security class is not a good class just go some where else for it don't let then convince you into it. If you really want to take a security class go some where else all u need is the 8 and 16 hour plus Fire guard and your Security Guard License Diploma/GED and you can find i good job as security. If u have to pay for it do it it will ay off in the long run. I had to pay for my job training somewhere else had a way better experience and now I currently hold a great job in a good company and i like my pay.

Way to Work is a great organization that does many things for young people starting out in their careers. I donated all of my work clothes that no longer fit me but were still in great condition (suits, slacks, button downs, dresses). Everyone I met at WTW was soooooo nice, professional and thoroughly appreciative of my donation. Some other organizations that collect work clothes prefer plus sizes but since WTW is geared towards young adults all my size 6 / M stuff will go to a good home!
