With regard to property selection, as an introduction, globally, wetlands cover just six per cent of the earth's surface. In this regard, at last estimate, one-half of the world's wetlands have been lost since 1900, and their destruction continues through drainage and conversion of land from its natural state to agricultural and/or urban uses. Pollution also causes severe harm to wetland areas. Accordingly, a mind-set must be developed whereby everyone appreciates wetlands as water's source and storage instead of an area to be drained and developed. With this said, the united states wetland, conservatory, inc. Will review and accept all property which contains wetland areas on it, with the caveat that the property can, in no way, have any contamination associated with it. In determining this, wetland maps provided by the united states department of interior will be utilized as well as site walk-through assessments.
