Mission: The shepherd's center of hamilton county is an interfaith organization that supports and empowers older adults to have enriched lives while maintaining their independent lifesytle.
Programs: The community caring program matches volunteers with home bound and isolated seniors 65+ to provide free services such as house cleaning, light home maintenance, transportation, friendly visitation, and yard work.
the together today program provides an excellent opportunity for seniors to get together on a regular basis, make new friends, and have a wonderful time socializing together. An important side benefit is that the participants develop a very caring attitude toward each other and look out for each other's welfare.
in conjunction with community caring and together today, reaching resources is helping further our mission to promote and support independent lifestyles for seniors in hamilton county. Reaching resources assists older adults in connecting with all resources relating to aging in place. The program's goals are to improve quality of life, prevent isolation, and maintain independence.
