Programs: The shane center for therapeutic horsemanship's mission is to improve the quality of life for people who have disabilities by offering innovative equestrian activities. Therapeutic horseback riding programs teach participants to use their abilities to learn the skills required to ride a horse. Lessons emphasize natural horsemanship, helping riders safely interact with horses from the ground and in the saddle. The horsin' around program is designed for independent disabled riders, as well as able-bodied beginner and intermediate youth and adults. Lessons focus on learning horsemanship techniques, empowering students to be well-rounded equestrians. The stablemates program is a non-riding program designed to help people ages 7 and up learn about horse management.
