Mission: The photosynthesis project is a research and educational non-profit organization devoted to applied research including developing stronger local, regional and national food system in an ever changing and stressed environment. The photosynthesis project also conducts industry changing research aimed at addressing issues including but limited to: greenhouse structures, advanced analysis for multiple climate environments, food distribution networks and the growing barrier of access to healthy fresh food in poor and rural areas.
Programs: In 2017, the photosynthesis project also organized local families to visit their greenhouses and harvest fresh vegetables and fruits including lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, eggplants, bell peppers and so on. During these visits, the photosynthesis project invited professors and experienced researchers who focusing on hydroponics technology to give lectures to local families. These activities give children from local communities the first chance to learn basic knowledges of hydroponics agriculture and also learn how fresh vegies and fruits grow. Most of them they dont have this type of experience in desert climate area. The photosynthesis project also conducted basic training tours to teach people from local communities how to build up simple systems to grow fresh lettuce tomatoes. More and more local people have developed the idea of idea of doing agriculture through sustainable way.
