Causes: Human Services, Residential Care & Adult Day Programs
Mission: To fight hunger, fear and rejection by providing destitute ugandan children with an education, family structure and a safe environment in which they can thrive.
Programs: Education program -in 2017, we provided a top notch boarding school education for 85 children. Additionally, we provided supplemental educational services for skills such as, but not limited to, sports, personal hygiene, critical thinking, safety, moral code, permaculture farming and more. This year, we launched a sustainability program geared toward teaching our elder children how to farm and provide food for themselves. The goal with the sustainability project is to eventually grow or raise the food necessary to sustain the pfp family and teach its children life skills in the process.
housing program - in 2017, we provided a safe home environment and loving family atmosphere for 85 children who would otherwise be living on the streets of jinja or kampala. The pfp foundation has three homes for its children. Hope home for boys houses 28 boys, peace home for girls houses 27 girls, and love home for toddlers houses 22 young children of mixed gender. There are 8 children who are in the transition program, living in pfp provided housing in the local community. These children are over the age of 18 and are learning the life skills to eventually be fully on their own.
food program - in 2017, we provided three healthy meals plus 2 snacks per day for 85 children.
