Mission: Christian community development ministering to an urban low income neighborhood
Programs: Programs for families and individuals, kindergarten to adults. Personal and community asset (talent/gifts) discovery and development, day care,clubs, tutoring, coaching, healthy family classes, outings, life skill classes, crisis intervention, english (esl), bible study, community building activities, professional counseing, health education and information. We serve approximately 350 neighbors each week.
community resource center and emergency food pantry open monday-thursday 9am-4pm, friday 9am-12pm. We serve as a place for hospitality for neighborhood residents, referral to other agencies, and crisis counseling.
the westside collaborative is formed to focus, coordinate, and resource asset based community development efforts on the west side of grand rapids. Currently there are 27 non-profit partners. Collectively they focus on community listening, improved service coordination, 3rd grade reading, family engagement and advocacy.
