Mission: The foundation is a medical research organization within the meaining of section 170(b)(1)(a)(iii) of the u. S. Internal revenue code and related treasury regulations. As such, the principal purpose and activty of the foundation is to conduct medical research in collaboration with one or more not-for-profit hospitals.
Programs: In collaboration with the university of texas at austin, foundation medical director m. Wilson, m. D. , and principal investigator peter thomas, ph. D. , are investigating the dual hormonal controls of human vascular cell functions and roles in human diseases such as infertility, cancer development, preterm birth and hypertension.
