Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Boys & Girls Clubs, Children & Youth, Youth Centers & Clubs
Mission: The purpose of the mentoring alliance is to mobilze godly people into the lives of kids and families, to provide tangible help and eternal hope.
Programs: The boys & girls clubs of east texas provides fun, high-quality and enriching after-school care for children in elementary and middle school. Our program is uniquely designed to give students a safe place to play, to learn and grow, to foster encouraging relationships with caring role models, and to build character and confidence in all of our kids. In fy 2016, we had 13 locations throughout east texas with three additional schools participating by bussing students to another location. Total students served were 1,045.
rose city summer camps, in partnership with the tyler independent school district, are action-packed, christian summer day camps taking place in local schools throughout east texas. Rose city summer camps combine incredible activities, academic learning, bible study, and mentorship for a summer that will engage and empower kids. In fy 2016, we had two locations serving a total of 766 students.
gospel village pairs godly people from local churches with students from local schools in mutually transforming mentoring relationships. Mentors walk alongside children and their families to help young people discover and live out gods purposes for their lives. In fy 2016, we had 172 mentees and 175 mentors.
