I had a disappointing experience at the Lennon Center that I feel compelled to share. When I reached out for assistance over the phone, I encountered a staff member who was not only unwelcoming but also unhelpful. Instead of guiding me through the various services they offer, I was told that they couldn't help me without any further explanation. It felt dismissive and left me feeling frustrated and unsupported.
This experience stood in stark contrast to my subsequent visit to Another Way in Farming Hills. The staff there were incredibly welcoming and genuinely interested in helping. They provided me with a wealth of parenting resources and emotional support that I desperately needed. The counselors offered thoughtfulness and compassion, taking the time to understand my situation and provide tailored guidance. It’s clear that Another Way values its clients and strives to create a nurturing environment. I would highly recommend seeking support there instead of the Lennon Center if you’re looking for genuine assistance and a caring atmosphere.
For many years our family had a pool party to raise funds for the Lennon center and to tell their story. I also was a side walk minster at a local abortion clinic. Once a week for 13 years we would give info about the Lennon Center to persons going in the clinic. We were always happy to see these referrals go to the Lennon Center. The Center provided excellent advice and care to these women and too often girls. Showing x-rays was very effective. After 13 years, the clinci closed Three years ago, my twin brother and I celebrated our 85th birthdays with a large party-we asked for donations of pampers as a gift and received over 10,000 pampers and $2000 for the Center.
