Mission: To promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women, and improve the community through volunteering and providing trained leaders for projects and causes.
Programs: Support of community projects focused on early reading and language skills, including dekalb summer reading partnership, boys & girls club of metro atlanta book club, georgia pre-k week, fiesta de libros read-a-thon, dekalb county public schools back to school rally, dtec book distribution, and ferst foundation
leadership and professional development training for members, to cultivate civic leaders in the dekalb county community, including attendance at assoc. Of junior leagues intl. Leadership conferences & organizational development institutes, and additional workshops throughout the year in the areas like communications, program development & diversity & inclusion.
preservation, maintenance and operation of the historic mary gay house, owned by the junior league of dekalb county, inc. This includes expenses for maintenance, repairs, utilities and payroll for office manager & and rental agents.
