Causes: Education, Secondary & High Schools
Mission: To create, nurture, and maintain a healthy, thriving and affordable secondary education program out of an anthroposophically based picture of the threefold human being (body, soul, and spirit) that will serve interested families and their high school students in the central vermont area.
Programs: The initiative cultivates each student's capacity for lively independent thinking, artistic interpretation, and moral courage for responsible action. At our school, students discover who they are and develop the capacity for living fully into the future as it unfolds for them. At the initiative, our curriculum integrates the disciplines of science, math, technology, humanities, movement, fine arts, and practical arts. Through the development of these capacities, we strive to educate the whole human being in a healthy and balanced manner. We seek to practice the principles of waldorf education suitable for vermont; a changing socio economic environment; and an evolving world. Our vision is to develop thoughtful, fulfilled citizens who have the capacity to think imaginatively, communicate effectively, relate compassionately, and take initiative to effect healthy change in our world.
