Mission: Theatre is about sharing stories. The story we tell is of Washington theatre - its power, significance, and impact on our lives. All that we do is centered on our mission to:
- Promote Washington-area theatre
- Honor artistic excellence
- Advocate for artists and theatres
- Support youth education
- Support artists and theatres by being a catalyst for professional development
Programs: The Washington Theatre Legacy Project has sparked the imagination and creativity of tens of thousands of DC public school children by introducing them to the magic of live theatre. Since 1994 the program has introduced close to 30,000 public school students who have experienced first-hand how theatre can enrich their lives and help them realize their goals.
