Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Chambers of Commerce & Business Leagues
Mission: Promote the Asian Pacific American community and community at large as a catalyst for local and global economic growth through advocacy, connections, and education.
Target demographics: Drive local economic growth for businesses with ties to Asia and Asian Americans.
Geographic areas served: Austin, Texas
Programs: GAACC fulfill our mission of promoting economic growth through advocacy initiatives, connection events and education programs.
Advocacy
We engage with public officials at multiple levels: City of Austin, county, state, and federal through our membership with National ACE. At the national policy level, we support increasing opportunities for Asian Pacific American (APA) entrepreneurs, international trade, immigration reform, dis-aggregation of APA data and workforce leadership. Locally, we advocate on behalf of our members and the APA community at large to assist them with their business success.
Connections
GAACC hosts numerous events to foster relationships. These include our marquee events, Ovation and Fall Classic, regular mixers, Connect Forum networking, as well as opportunities to connect with international delegations from Asia. We also refer prospects to our members and connect members to opportunities as they arise.
Education
We offer monthly workshops on business and minority certification at the Asian American Resource Center. Our networking mixers feature a topic, and we host industry panels and Asian market briefings. Our member orientations also feature talks about resources and regulations that impact businesses.
