Mission: The corporation is organized exclusively for the purpose of inspiring, uplifting, empowering, and equipping individuals with the tools needed to reach their full potential. Notwithstanding the foregoing, however, the corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c) (3) of the internal revenue code of 1986, as amended (or the corresponding provision of any future united states internal revenue law).
Programs: Our summer bridge program provided mentoring, academic, and personal enrichment activities to 82 youth, ages 10-17. The program was 4 days a week for 12 weeks throughout the summer. Of the 82 youth, we had 1,207 contacts with those particular youth. This program was funded by johnson county board of supervisors juvenile justice youth development fund.
our ibelong youth leadership program provided quality after-school programming consisting of weekly goal setting, academic supports, service projects, and group discussions focused on character, leadership, and building community connections. This program served 45 youth ages 13-17 two times a week for 20 weeks. This program was funded by the johnson county decaterization fund.
our fathers united now program is a community-based support group that provides fathers with opportunities to develop fathering skills, build and maintain strong family ties, and helps fathers build healthy relationships with their children and/or mother of children. This program met weekly over a 24 week period serving 22 men. This program was funded by a community based child abuse prevention grant and the johnson county decaterization fund.
our brothers achieved manhood community-based mentoring program that provides counseling, mentoring, and educational enrichment activities for young men in grades 9th through 12th. Our curriculum helps young men recognize their strength and weaknesses, improve their skills academically, and teaches the importance of respect for self and others. This program serves 30 young men weekly through the academic school year.
