Most Tuesdays you'll find me volunteering at The Children's Book Bank. I've been lucky to have been surrounded by books to entertain and inspire me all my life. Kids in poor communities don't have this opportunity. They don't see what's possible for them in books and in turn in their worlds. I'm fortunate to see families, high school and college students, and everyday folks of all ages give their time to help get books to kids in need. These volunteers are creating new stories and I love that I'm a part of building a better future. It's a thrill and a high to help others.
