Mission: The mission of The Center for Equality is to protect and support the rights and well being of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender South Dakotans and their families. Goals Create safety for LGBT South Dakotans Educate the larger community about the needs of the LGBT community Provide resources to the LGBT community that promote health and well being Make the LGBT community visible Protect the effectiveness and future of our statewide LGBT organization by striving for excellence in all we do by increasing participation, refining our mission, and maintaining a high-quality financial and administrative base
Results: Sioux Falls' largest Pride event catering to over 2,000 patrons Successful launch of an all new Transgender support group Implementation of Youth Scholarship program Launch of business and personal membership program that connects LGBT individuals with the businesses that openly support them
