Mission: To provide a cutting-edge space where education, research and industry-leading professionals work and learn side by side. A space where the local community finds the inspiration and opportunities to become the solar professionals and advocates of tomorrow.
Programs: Various small programs.
"center for education summer camps" provided 2 renewable energy summer camps to students in halifax and surrounding counties. Campers were introduced to different types of renewable energy increasing their awareness of energy from natural sources. 60 students attended.
"train the trainer programs for teachers" is a professional development program for educators. Workshops are designed to integrate solar education easily into science lesson plans. Training for the 2017-18 academic year included 15 participants.
