Mission: The Built Environment Education Project provides educational programs that inspire and empower Americans to create positive change in our built environment and the social ideals that underwrite its construction. The Built Environment Education Project studies architecture and the built environment as the realization and proving ground of the values we share as a culture. Participants gain a critical perspective of these ideals by learning to see how they often underlie the long term success or failure of our constructed world. Coupled with an exploration of the fundamental and timeless design elements of architecture and the built environment, participants are then empowered to create an alternate vision for our built and social world that truly serves our collective needs and dreams.
