The Broad Mba Association

Programs: Corporate sponsored college football tailgates: are organized by students and funded by businesses. The purpose of these events is for corporate recruiters to come and discuss various aspects of their business and available job openings to students in a friendly environment. These tailgates also foster a networking opportunity for students to interact with one another and build relationships. The total number of events is seven (7). These events are hosted on michigan state university's (msu's) campus and are organized by the board members of the mba association. Students, alumni, family members, faculty, and corporate recruiters are all in attendance at these events. The estimated number in attendance is 100 people per event.

charity auction: is an event hosted and sponsored by the mba association for students and faculty to bid on items attained or provided by local businesses, other students, and faculty. 100% of donations received at this event go toward local charities. This activity will be on michigan state university's campus and is run by students for other students, family members, and faculty members. This event is hosted in april and there were approximately 150 people in attendance. We raised $7,086 for a local charity at this charity auction.

date auction is an event to raise funds for a local charity by having students host an activity for the highest bidder. This primary event was held at nuthouse sports grill in lansing, mi. It was supplemented by minor events such as movie viewings or card game nights with modest ($5 - $10) buy-in for charity. This event was held in february and there were approximately 100 indvidiuals in attendance. We raised $12,084 for a local charity.

scavenger hunt. The mbaa hosts a scavenger hunt to help first year students acclimate to the area (east lansing, mi). The event is hosted in september and had approximately 25 students in attendance.

community honors. This is a formal event honoring faculty and the outgoing class of students. This event is held at the university club of michigan state university in lansing, mi. This event is hosted in april and had approximately 175 individuals in attendance.

trek to local sports game. For fiscal year ended 2017, the event was a trek to see a grand rapids griffins minor league hockey game (grand rapids, mi). This event was hosted in january and had approximately 30 students in attendance.

prospective students weekend. This is an opportunity for prospective students to interact with mba students and staff in a formal setting. This is held over the course of two days in various east lansing, mi locations. This event is held in april and had approximately 75 students in attendance.
