Mission: The marketplace is a christian fair trade store that partners with ministries around the world to help empower people through employment while sharing the gospel. We buy all products outright and market the ministries and products in the marketplace. We travel abroad and design and business consult with ministries so they can increase their market share. With increased sales, they will be able to hire more people and demonstrate the love of christ.
Programs: In february 2017, the marketplace went to el alto bolivia and designed sutisana's spring 2017 and fall 2017 collection. Sutisana is a ministry that are empowering women who have been rescued from prostitution with employment while sharing the gospel. Based on our collections, sutisana experienced 100% growth.
the marketplace was able to design product in 6 countries. While we went to bolivia, we were able to create designs via skype, email, and messenger. We created product with samaritan creations and napada in thailand, white peacock in india, dunamis in ecuador, three cords, handup global goods, and 2nd story goods in haiti, and artistic freedom in huntersville north carolina.
the marketplace traveled to quito ecuador to partner with dunamis a ministry that rescues young women from trafficking between the ages of 9-14. We designed their fall 2017 collection, geometrix. We were also able to raise $5,000 in funds to help finish their rescue house.
we participated in 2 large shows, 35 fashion truck shows, and opened a 2nd location in blacksburg virginia in annie kay's.
