Mission: Improve healthcare outcomes and eliminate and/or reduce health disparities experienced by women of african ancestry, other women of color, and their families through advocacy, education, research and support activities, programs and services.
Programs: Supporting our sisters (sos) parenting leadership program; students talking about reality (star) evidence based programs targeting youth, safe dates teen dating violence prevention workshops and girls voices mental wellness prevention workshops; wanna bet underage gambling prevention workshops; smart choices workshops to dispel myths, and helps reduce prevalence of gambling for youth 12-19 years of age; gambling away the golden years: workshops focused on problem gambling prevention among older adults; prime time sister circle program (ptsc): evidence based facilitator/expert directed wellness program women between 40-75 years of age. Collaborative partnerships sponsor conferences, and other activities and events to educate and increase awareness of strategies to improve health outcomes and reduce health disparities. Mission achieved also thru advocacy, education, research and support activities, programs and services.
