Mission: The mission of the arts council of the southern finger lakes, inc. Is to enhance the cultural arts in the communities served by acting as an advocate and catalyst to increase participation, advance collaboration and optimize resources.
Programs: Decentralization grants - decentralization grants provide support to individual artists and nonprofit organizations for arts related programs in all disciplines occurring in chemung, schuyler, steuben and tioga counties. The decentralization program has three funding categories: community arts, teaching artists, and individual artists.
the electronic media and film program - the electronic media and film program provided grants for independent artists throughout new york state. This program was funded by the new york state council on the arts. The electronic media and film grants were awarded in two categories: presentation funds and finishing funds. The grant was discontinued during fiscal year 2017 but reimbursements to artists were made in fiscal year 2018.
quick arts - the quick arts program is a regrant program with funds from the community foundation of elmira-corning and the finger lakes. It provides small grants for community focused arts and cultural activities.
