Mission: Through family support, advocacy, community education, promotion, and fund raising, the association for retarded citizens helps families and the community to solve challenges brought about by mental retardation or other significant developmental disabilities.
Programs: The association for retarded citizens gillespie county provided educational and job training services for 14 individuals with mental retardation during 2017. Those individuals participated in programs at the new horizons center (owned by the organization) for a total of 28,000 hours and assembled 26,395 pic-pacs during 2017.
