Mission: The mission of the aids institute is to promote action
Programs: The aids institute's (tai) addresses state and federal policy, education, research, advocacy, and convening, for hiv, viral hepatitis, and related diseases as well as general access to health care. Through its work with the state officials, federal administration, executive agencies, congress, media, and community partners, we seek to impact health policy for the benefit of the entire country. The focus of our work is hiv and viral hepatitis with a goal to prevent new infections and ensure access to care and treatment for those who are living with hiv and hepatitis. We achieve this through our leadership and partnerships, our work also impacts access to healthcare, especially to prescription medications, for patients in all disease groups. Tai is continually working on numerous hiv/aids policy and advocacy issues and remains flexible to be able to address emerging issues as they arise. Tai's experienced staff are skilled in preventing issues from arising through policy analysis, relationships, and advocacy mobilization. Some of tai's core policy and advocacy activities include: state and federal policy and program analysis and recommendations; implementation and monitoring of the national hiv/aids strategy, state and federal budget & appropriations; aids drug assistance program (adap); healthcare reform & the affordable healthcare act, prevention and testing including hiv and hepatitis, advancing hiv/aids health policy, state, federal and global advocacy, hiv/aids education, training, convening, and capacity building; social, clinical and behavioral research; policy initiatives related to hepatitis, housing, nutrition, and global and mental health; media relations and presentations at national conferences.
florida comprehensive planning network - the aids institute (tai) coordinates and supports all aspects of planning, writing, communications, and meeting logistics for the statewide florida comprehensive planning network (fcpn). Hiv community planning is an ongoing, comprehensive planning process intended to help assure that resources, particularly state & federal hiv prevention and care resources, are targeted to populations living with or at risk for hiv, hepatitis, and other stis. The fcpn is
