Mission: The acceleration project, inc. 's primary exempt purposes are: (a) to promote economic development by providing small businesses with comprehensive entrepreneurial and financial training, strategic and tactical business advice, and networking, so that such businesses cangrow and flourish, provide jobs to the community and boost the local economy; (b) to provide training for business consultants looking to hone their skills and/or re-enter the workforce; and (c) to conduct any other activities and to perform any and all acts which may be necessary, useful, suitable, or proper for the furtherance, accomplishment, or attainment of any of the activities described in clauses (a) and (b).
Programs: Tap project - a large-scale project or study to address an important business concern or inquiry. The project involves working with local government offices and business owners to complete a thorough analysis of local consumer and business behaviors and perceptions. Using that knowledge, the acceleration project inc. Created an awareness campaign to promote local businesses and encourage residents to shop and dine where they live.
the strategic advisory program is the organization's signature offering. In this program, a team of consultants is matched with a business based on intersecting needs and skillsets. The acceleration project consultants work closely with clients to guide them through timely issues related to their business growth. This engagement offers clients 40 hours of service, over the course of several structured sessions, with set agendas and meeting summaries. The acceleration project inc. Develops customized tools based on the client's unique challenges and goals and provides clients with a detailed action plan which includes strategies, tactics and deadlines to achieve self-identified short and long-term goals.
speed consulting - in partnership with chambers of commerce and other organizations, the acceleration project inc. Offers a speed consulting workshop (90 minutes) for small businesses to provide high level strategic advice. Offered in a roundtable format, the consultants facilitate discussions on specific challenges and opportunities affecting business growth and strategies for success. They record recommendations ensuring each business receives customized feedback. Participants appreciate the opportunity to network and discuss opportunities with other entrepreneurs in their community.
tap capsule - for businesses that have a targeted goal in mind, the acceleration project inc. Offers a one-time consultation. Challenge and goal must be clearly defined prior to meeting.
