These services are essential in order to provide a complete spectrum of healthcare to the community. These programs include: * flu clinics and health fairs at senior citizen centers, * community health fairs at local and surrounding service area schools, * community education sessions on subjects such as general health and high blood pressure, * blood pressure screenings, * matter of balance classes to kaufman county senior citizens, * a car seat fitting station for the community. The hospital also supports the local community service area through volunteer time and monetary contributions. Programs sponsored include the local area school district, united way, meals on wheels, salvation army's food program, angel tree, and the kaufman food bank.
