My name is Robert L. Hufcut Sr. Chief of the Summitville Fire Company #1. We are a small fire company is Sullivan County New York , with the limited resources we have here the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund has made a big difference in our Fire Company with the equipment they have donated to us through the Fund. Brian is true man of his word and also to the Brotherhood. The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund is helping more than anyone can imagine.
My department has met with Brian and his associates twice. Outgoing doesn’t begin to describe them. Can not thank the Terry Farrell Foundation enough for their time and effort to help fire departments the way they do.
My husband & I started a FB group “Flags Fly High in Wantagh” about a month ago. In his free time from the FDNY, my husband has been going around hanging flags in our community while I purchase flags & maintain the FB group/requests. Brian contacted me a few weeks ago stating that he loved what we were doing & wanted to make a donation. Through his generosity, we are able to hang 18 more flags in our community!!
I have had numerous occasions to refer fire departments to the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund. The fund exists to help fire departments in need-usually due to a crisis. From Super Storm Sandy to fire stations having fires-the "Fund" is available to any needy fire department. Perhaps the most important point I would like to make is WHY the fund exists. Terry Farrell was a career and volunteer firefighter (in his hometown)-and was murdered on 9/11 at the World Trade Center as a NYC Firefighter. After his loss, his brother Brian took the lead along with numerous, friends and family decided they wanted to do something to honor Terry's legacy as a caring hero-and that is how the fund was started. It exists to HELP OTHER FIRE DEPTS! Talk about an awesome calling in memory of a man who helped so many others! The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund is that "stop gap" between what insurance may/may not cover-and what fire departments who have suffered a major loss need immediately-so that they can continue to help serve their community. Thanks so much for your consideration, Billy Goldfeder, Loveland, Ohio
Our organization recently had the pleasure of working with the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund. We donated a surplus fire apparatus to the fund. The representatives, both state and national, were very gracious and professional in their endeavors. Florida chapter president, Steve Pontious, gave our commission a very nice presentation explaining the Fund and its mission. National president, Brian Farrell provided all necessary forms and documents to make the transaction easy and safe for our organization. Everyone we dealt with at the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund were professional and dedicated to the ideology of Brother Helping Brother within the Fire Service. It was a pleasure to be involved with this fine group of individuals.

The Terry Farrell fund learned of our need for turnout gear and equipment and outfitted our members with excellent used gear and equipment. Our mission to recruit members for the fire service would not be nearly as effective without the Terry Funds assistance. The fund arranged instructors to help introduce our members to firefighting procedures . the Farrell funds dedication to Fire service recruitment has helped us add 30 members to the ranks of our department. My name is Jeff Jewell and I am the Fire & E.M.S. Chief for the Inter City Fire Protection District, Blue Summit Mo. We are a very small and very poor District right in the middle of Kansas City Mo. We have never been on the recieving end of any federal money and are very limited in our budget. If it was not for the Terry Farrell Fund we would not have been able to get our ambulance service started. We recieved newer bunker gear to protect our firefighters. Our gear that we were using was old and worn out and some of our volunteers did not even have gear. I salute the Terry Farrell Fund and all the good things this organization has done and will continue to do for our firefighters around the country.
