Causes: Education, Educational Services
Mission: Teach the craft of woodturning and support individuals and organizations that promote woodturning.
Programs: Educated approximately 150 individuals about the art and craft of woodturning through monthly meetings and monthly training sessions, special event demonstrations. An annual symposium with multiple demonstrators reached over 400 individuals. Provided community woodturning exposure and outreach at three local events held in and around the middle tn area: tennessee arts & crafts fairs (spring and fall), centennial high school arts & craft show(chsptso), and tn state fair.
supported the first regional women in turning event at arrowmont in gatlinburg for over 30 women created and continue to lead a woodturning program for at risk young men at a non-profit organization in the area added additional videos, books, and other publications to the club library for use by 150 members.
