As a parent at Tehiyah Day School for more than ten years, I can't say enough good things about the school. The teachers are engaged, concerned and talented and are constantly improving their knowledge of educational tools and their particular topics. The administration has the students best interests at heart, and the judaics program is wonderful. Most important, is the strong sense of community that exists for everyone associated with the school -- parents, students, faculty, staff and administration.

Mission: The mission of Tehiyah Day School is to inspire curiosity, a strong sense of community, and a vibrant connection to Judaism. At Tehiyah, we live the curriculum!
Geographic areas served: East Bay
Programs: Tehiyah, which means renewal, is a community day school, an independent Jewish school, not affiliated with any denomination or movement. The curriculum, school-wide celebrations and classroom activities stimulate growth and curiosity and are designed to foster a meaningful aesthetic and spiritual experience. Art, music and drama have an important place in our school and high academic standards are upheld throughout the curriculum. One-third of our 290 students receive assistance from our scholarship fund.
