Helped me understand that customer relations is actually practiced by real people with no hidden agenda at the Lockhart library.
I have really enjoyed learning to use the computer. I knew nothing about the computer before taking this class. As a retired teacher in her seventies, I was not easy to teach. Ms. Heffler was so patient and thorough with every lesson, allowing as much practice as needed to learn each lesson. I appreciate the opportunity to receive training at a nearby location.
Technology For All has changed so many lives in rural Texas by providing free computer training and public computer centers. There are still many without the tools to be self sufficient on the computers and without individual training they will continue to fall behind in technology. Technology For All has been a great asset to Rural Texas.
With the help of Technology for All we received upgraded computers for our internet stations and also hosted computer classes for an instructor from Technology for All.
Training and retraining people on basic computer skills such as email, Internet, social media, resume writing and job search, and the Microsoft Office Suite, levels the playing field, gets people back to work and into better jobs, and connects people with the world. There is no greater satisfaction than knowing that the work that Technology For All does is life-changing.
Technology for All is a great asset to the community. Every time I visit Mission Milby in the East End District of Houston, the halls and classrooms are buzzing with individuals eager to learn and experience technology first-hand. I have noticed that the staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help support any and all clients. I am grateful for a company like this that so unselfishly serves the underserved.
I could not find an appropriate "role" to describe what I have to do with Technology for All in Smithville, Texas. I am the Grants Administrator for the City of Smithville, and in that capacity, I work to find funding for a wide variety of projects that will benefit our residents and our broader community. Technology for All has been a terrific partner in helping to bring innovative educational opportunities to our small, rural community. They support the Smithville community first and foremost through the excellent training services they provide and in helping to bring technology in all its forms. In addition, they have provided letters of support for a number of grants for which their service is essential to bringing a more fully integrated program together, and they have provided the expertise and resources needed for a number of important projects, such as the Economic Development Survey rolling out today. Smithville is a stronger, better educated/informed, and more technically skilled community because they are here. The Technology for All Smithville Staff work as hard as any humans can in making sure our relatively poor, rural community is not left behind in today's highly technical world.
I've volunteered with Technology For All since around 2002. I'm inspired by the work they do, not just in helping low-income and under-served people access and use technology to improve their lives, but in helping other nonprofits build their capacity. Their work with other nonprofits inspired me to spearhead a collaborative effort between NASA (my former employer) and TFA through which several nonprofits were provided NASA educational resources for their youth clients. I enjoyed this volunteer work so much that I decided to make nonprofit work my new career.
I have been working with Technology For All almost a year now. I have found them to be knowledgeable, flexible in meeting my needs and willing to work to understand what we are trying to accomplish.
As the Smithville Area Chamber of Commerce president, I have had numerous opportunities to work with TFA. I rate them at 5 stars because they go above and beyond what would be expected of their organization. They accomplish their mission by offering classes, free internet access, and access to technology to our community. Beyond that they are active participants in our efforts to bring traffic to our downtown area. They understand that being visible in our community helps them reach out to citizens, which in turns helps them accomplish their mission. They have been active partners in many projects that help better our community.
I recently went back to school to pursue an advanced degree in engineering and my computer skills are next to nil to say the least. This program has helped tremendously with my understanding of the programs that are the most useful to me. The instructor teaches like an adult to adults and has a great deal of patience for those of us computer illiterates. I can't find the words to express my gratitude for this program. It has been educational and a life saver. Please help to continue this program . It is open to all and is a good way to learn new skills as well as brush on those that haven't been used for awhile.
This program has helped me to understand the uses of computers. I have also become more interested in using computers. I'm still developing my skills. I hope we will be able to continue to get these lessons until I have become more skillful in using computers. Thank you for this opportunity.

Technology for All has been a God send for us at 1017 Bois D'Arc Assisted Living. Mr. Griffin took on the task of teaching our Seniors the art of computer technology. Mind you this is not an easy task, however he was wonderful, patient and made it enjoyable for all those who attend his classes.
It is a wonderful thing to see Technology for All giving back to the community. You have opened windows of learning and sharing to these great folks, that had not been open to them before.
Please keep doing what you do best
I have been blessed to be able to take advantage of Technology For All, at Madison County Library and the Library in Centerville. I have learned a lot from the classes offered and am more comfortable using the computer now. I was able to show a power point presentation at a graduation party for my granddaughter. My family and friends were very impressed. I have also been able to use Excel in my husbands cattle operation to inventory his cows and calves.
I have been involved with Technology for All since its inception over fifteen years ago. I have watched it grow and develop and impact the lives of thousands of clients. i have witnessed youth being helped escape gang activity and continue their education, graduate, and enter college. Many have become leaders in their church and in the neighborhood around Technology for All. I have visited with adults who have finished computer classes that have helped them gain the skills to enable them to earn a livable wage.
