Causes: Counseling, Mental Health, Mental Health Treatment
Mission: Team Cont;nue was formed by the family of Peter Price who died in 2016 from death by suicide. Community members have joined the team to honor Peter and raise funds for families affected by suicide attempts and mental illness. Since its beginning in 2016, Team Continue has led fundraising efforts for various suicide prevention charities. In January of 2021, it was decided that, Team Cont;nue had grown to be able to form as 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit Foundation. Their mission is to support families of adolescents and young adults who have been treated for suicide attempts or ideation. The period between In-Patient Care and effective Outpatient treatment solutions is critical to the families trying to overcome the challenges this period presents. Since 2021, TEAM CONT;NUE has supported 432 Therapy Sessions dedicated to the regular counseling of Adolescents and Young Adults requiring financial support.
Results: There are currently four adolescents/young adults receiving regular care and our 2024 goal is to achieve over 288 total Therapy Sessions for a number of individuals - provided by Team Cont;nue partner organization, Thaar Care (www.thaarcarefoundation.org). This equates to almost 6 sessions per week and a 40% increase in therapy sessions compared to 2022 and 2023.
