Causes: Human Services, Residential Care & Adult Day Programs
Mission: To provide safe and nurturing homes for rhode island children in need of out-of-home therapeutic care. The agency provides this through two residential facility programs and foster care services.
Programs: Tannerhill provides a safe and nurturing home for abused and neglected children of rhode island. During fiscal year 2015, 16 children between the ages of 5 and 12 participated and benefited from the residential services. Children remain at the house until they are adopted, placed in foster care, or reunited with their family. This program is provided through funding from the state of rhode island department of children youth and their families (dcyf).
tannerhill provides a foster care program for the placement of some of the children that have been in their residential program and/or others that are placed with the agency by the state. During the fiscal year ended may 31, 2015, 33 children benefited from these foster care services. Funding of this program is provided through rhode island department of children youth and their families (dcyf). In addition to the foster care family tannerhill includes strengthening families and enhanced outpatient services in this classification of program services.
