Mission: Crime stoppers of tacoma-pierce county is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting law enforcement in solving crimes and locating wanted fugitives. Crime stoppers works with the media to publicize unsolved crimes, takes anonymous tips from the public on unsolved crimes, distributes the tips to law enforcement for investigation, and pays cash rewards to tipsters whose information leads to an arrest and charges filed.
Programs: A memorial fund to benefit the family of fallen tacoma police officer reginald gutierrez was established in 2017.
since 2007, volunteers from crime stoppers of tacoma-pierce county have partnered with the marine corps league to coordinate the toys for tots program in pierce county. Our program helps to organize and staff toy drives, collect and sort toys, and host events to distribute toys to needy children in our community.
community service program serves by awarding scholarships to students with financial hardships, initiating memorial funds for fallen emergency responders, sponsorships of fundraisers for other non profit organizations and provides a tip line for anonymous members of the community to turn in crime suspects.
