Mission: The mission of tacoma opera is to inspire, educate and uplift our audiences in the puget sound region by presenting productions of high artistic quality using a combination of young emerging artists, established local professionals and nationally known artists. We seek to heighten awareness of the value of the arts and music in our community by providing dynamic opera productions and music education programs for diverse audiences.
Programs: Toa plays an important role in the cultural life of the south puget sound as the only professional opera-producing organization in the area. The company, which primarily serves the citizens of pierce county and the residents of the south sound, brings well-loved classics to audiences and introduces school children to the operatic repertoire.
