Mission: The organization has been formed and operated to promote sportsmanship by encouraging participation in youth hockey (ages 11-18) within the syosset, ny community and associated school district.
Programs: The organization provides education, coaching and mentoring to these children. , often using the game of hockey as a metaphor for the challenges of life these children will face as they transition from children to adults. In addition to learning about sportsmanship, teamwork and community through the game of hockey, the participants are also encouraged to engage in both individual and team based community service activities, such as breast cancer awareness days and participating in "sled hockey" events with local groups to encourage children with special needs or physical disabilities to participate in hockey and the community at large.
