Causes: Environment, Natural Resources Conservation & Protection
Mission: Sustainable Saratoga is a not-for-profit organization that promotes sustainable practices and the protection of natural resources, through education, advocacy and action, for the benefit of current and future generations in the Saratoga Springs, NY area.
Results: 414 trees planted; 302 bags of litter removed from local streets; 390 people learned about backyard composting; 450 items fixed at Repair Cafes; 1050+ attendees at Saratoga Sustainability Fair learned about climate change & alternative energy, sustainable farming, plastic waste reduction, and more; 700+ No Mow May signs distributed; 5000+ native plants sold at Pollinator Palooza native plant sale; 1500+ hours spent advocating for sustainable land use.
Target demographics: Homeowners, business owners, and municipalities
Direct beneficiaries per year: 38 homeowners and businesses received the environmental benefits provided by street trees, over 800 residents recycled items such as paint, electronics, and textiles and kept them out of landfills through our recycling events.

Programs: Planting and maintaining our urban tree canopy, providing food and habitat for native pollinators, protecting our local green spaces, reducing waste going to landfills, fighting climate change and advocating for alternative energy sources.
