Surflight Theatre has provided myself, my family and friends with so many exciting and enjoyable performances I could not begin to count them. If you are looking for an affordable way to take in a professional broadway style show, give this theater a try. This was the first real theater I took my kids to, and they were mesmerized! They were on the edge of their seats the entire time, and it was all they talked about the rest of the vacation. The actors stayed after the show to sign autographs and take pictures, making lasting memories for the whole family.

I LOVE Surflight! The talent there never ceases to amaze me! Whether it's a children's show or a mainstage presentation, it's always a delightful experience! Surflight outshines Broadway time and time again! Don't miss your chance at seeing "Broadway" at the beach!

The Surflight Theatre is a great venue for shows for all age groups. It's the only professional theatre in Ocean County. They bring talent from all across the country and put on an amazing season each and every year. If you haven't been you are missing out - come on "down the shore" for a visit.

Working in the box office gave me insight of how important live theatre is for a community. Surflight Theatre provides children's theatre, educational and outreach programs and group packages which strengthens our community and provides an artistic outlet for our children. Group packages increase tourism for local businesses and restaurants. Over a 60 year history, Surflight Theatre is a part of Beach Haven with a deep emotional attachment with locals and tourists. Please endorse Surflight Theatre to bring awareness of such a wonderful experience.

Surflight Theatre is a non-profit gem, one block from the beach, to be discovered and enjoyed by the vacationers of LBI and the residents of New Jersey. My daughter started as an apprentice at age 13 and has grown and developed her knowledge and skills in Theatre by working with, and learning from, Professional actors, directors and staff at Surflight Theatre. Her training at Surflight has guided her to pursue a Music Theatre Major in College. Due to her professional experiences at Surflight, she is very prepared to follow her dream.

Beach Haven’s SURFLIGHT THEATRE is a Long Beach Island treasure! For over 60 years, island kids have first learned about theatre from the wonderful children performances of Snow White, Peter Pan, The Wizard of Oz and many others. For years, our family has enjoyed musicals and drama at this first rate Equity theatre. We are continually impressed with the energy and talent of the Surflight performers. Donn O'Brien

Surflight Theatre is an extremely beneficial part of the surrounding community on multiple levels. Not only are they the only professional theater in Ocean County, bringing great theater to the vacationers of Long Beach Island, they are also a vital piece of the economy in the off season. By extending their season beyond June and August, they provide needed customers, especially during their month long run of their Christmas performance, for restaurants and other businesses in the area when most other attractions are closed. Of course Surflight doesn't just stay in Beach Haven, they also have the "Surflight To Go" program where they travel to schools as far away as Connecticut to teach students about the arts and to help make learning fun. One of the students favorites is their "School House Rocks" performance. For such a relatively small theater, their impact is not only felt locally in Beach Haven and Ocean County, but extends throughout New Jersey and to the surrounding states as well.

The Surflight Theatre provides quality professional entertainment at the most reasonable prices around. While the shows themselves may vary in appeal, I have never been disappointed in Surflight's presentation of them. In recent years they have added concerts and other special shows as well. I really like the theatre, too. There are no columns so no matter where you sit the view is unobstructed. I understand in 2010 they will be doing the "Drowsey Chaperone" which recently played on Broadway, and I am really looking forward to that.
