Mission: Suited for Success, Inc. was founded in 1997 to provide a system of support for economically disadvantaged inner-city women who were eager to enter the workforce yet, despite basic skills training and a desire to advance, faced ever persisting obstacles. In response, eight enthusiastic women executives decided to utilize their experience and resources to offer supportive services to individuals who have completed pre-employment programs. SFS believes that, with increased information, support and confidence, all participants are capable of obtaining careers that will lead to personal growth and economic stability.
It is the mission of Suited for Success, Inc. to give economically disadvantaged gradates of accredited job training programs a competitive edge by helping to develop their confidence and skills. SFS accomplishes this by providing support and training that focuses on attitude, self-esteem, education, and workplace and life-skills development. The organization serves as a catalyst, affording opportunities that are instrumental to career advancement.
