Mission: Sai's mission is to promote research in the areas of autism and neurological disorders, in particular designing and commissioning research projects and setting strategic research priorities.
Programs: Sai funded analyses of the vaccine safety database (vsd), a database maintained by the cdc for the purposes of examining issues of vaccine safety in population-based epidemiological studies. Sai-funded researchers are the scientists working outside the cdc who have access to this database. Sai-funded studies have looked specifically at exposure-related factors to different vaccines such as age-of-exposure and dose-of exposure. Scientific papers describing the results of these studies have been submitted for publication or are preparation for submission.
