Mission: To reduce the "madness" by touching lives and offering hope to youth, families and communities in an at-risk culture.
Programs: The organization served and touched the lives of more than 500 youth during 2014. 99% of the youth developed positive peer and mentee/mentor relationships; 98% developed and/or increased their self-esteem, self- awareness and self-empowerment and 89% acquired skills needed to change negative mindsets and anti-social behaviors. Students served experienced a 38% reduction in suspensions, 28% reduction in referrals and showed significant progress in core classes, shown by a 45% grade improvement in math and 70% grade improvement in science. Many of the students were at-risk of not being promoted to the next grade level; however, as a result of the improvements made through program participation, 98% were promoted to the next grade level.
