Causes: Disaster Aid, Public Safety, Disaster Preparedness & Relief
Mission: The stonewall citizens' patrol is a volunteer neighborhood watch patrol group operating in the highly diverse hillcrest, north park and university heights areas of san diego. Over 30 volunteers receive training from the san diego police department and take turns patrolling the streets.
Programs: We patrol the neighborhoods of hillcrest, north park, and university heights to perform extra set of eyes and ears in cooperation with san diego police department (total volunteers: 32; total residents in patrol area: 410,000). We educate the community by providing safety patrol at events, including; arts, rallies, and festivals (total attendees: 100,000 people). We raise awareness by attending community and town hall meetings, and safe in school programs to promote anti-hate, public safety, and social media safety (total attendees: 2,500).
