Mission: To obtain leadership in stem literacy by cultivating a professional learning environment that continuously improves customer service, explores innovative ideas, increases pre k-16 opportunities and points of contact, pushing a full generation of learners to fill critical voids in national stem career field projections; resulting in an increased collaboration of stem contributors, a stem literate citizenry and ongoing professional outreach.
Programs: Provided curriculum materials to k-12 students in order to promote stem literacy. The stem academy was able to negotiate an in-kind contribution from software developers graphisoft and solidworks through the form of a significant discount which enabled them to provide the software to schools at a significant discount. During 2014 graphisoft provided the equivalent of $6,593,400 and solidworks provided the equivalent of $174,338 through grants in kind.
