Causes: Animals
Mission: The state humane association of california serves 150 humane societies, spcas, and city/county animal care and control agencies throughout the state. Members receive assistance through education, training, and legislation to promote the inherent value of animals through the elimination of cruelty, neglect and exploitation.
Programs: Published and distributed the california animal laws handbook and california euthanasia training curriculum. Sponsored the animal law enforcement training academies for humane and animal-control officers throughout the state. Organized the animal welfare ceo forum for directors of member organizations. Retained a professional lobbyist to represent the interests of our members at the state capitol.
