Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development Programs
Mission: Starting arts' was started with the mission to make art education accessible to all students in san francisco bay area schools. We believe that in order to stimulate and educate students to reach their fullest potential the creative arts is a necessary component of the educational process. Our passion is to provide hands-on arts eduction in four arts disciplines (dance, theatre, music and visual arts) in classes taught by skilled professional artists. Classes are california state standards based and align with the common core standards, and provides arts education to 92 schools and over 28,000 students each week.
Target demographics: children in the bay area gain exposure to the arts.
