Mission: The Stark County Hunger Task Force fights hunger in our community by providing financial, logistic, strategic, and food support to our network of local emergency food pantries. We believe our work does more than just provide free groceries to those in need: we ease anxiety, inspire hope, and promote wellness. By alleviating hunger in Stark County, we are building a stronger community.
Results: Last year, we supplied free groceries to nearly 28,000 individuals a month. Through our Backpack for Kids program, we fed over 700 children weekly by supplying them with 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and snacks for the weekend when they do not have access to free and reduced lunches through their school.
