Mission: St. Vincent de Paul Woburn takes a personal approach to our mission to assist those in need and less fortunate. We respectively evaluate each case situation and include the client in the solution for best results. Our case workers engage clients in phone conversations and home visitations. We listen to their life issues and discuss circumstances surrounding their needs, documenting detailed personal and financial facts, all onto our database. As a team, we decide if the client’s issues are within our capabilities and if not, we make referrals to our esteemed partner organizations. If the client is within our capabilities, we become a solution, hope and sometimes for months and years to come. We provide assistance with rent, utilities, transportation, and other life expenses to residents of Woburn
Results: We prevent some of our clients to become homeless. We provide food and medicine to our elderly clients. We have immigrant families that run away from war zones or abusive relationships. We provided them with a peace of mind that their rent will be covered until they found work. We assured the single mother, that her kids will have food and school supplies. The only way to measure the work we do, is by taking care of the most vulnerable in our community. A single mother and her children who had been living in a shelter needed assistance from Saint Vincent de Paul. Once they found an apartment, we referred them to the Mission of Deeds where they were supplied with furniture. SVDP helped the mother select items like linens and clothing from the thrift store and coordinated time for them to visit the food pantry for hygiene products and food.
Target demographics: Our organization offers assistance to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship. We assist people regardless of what, if any, religious affiliation they may have. We interact with other community resource organizations in an effort to help clients manage their way out of their current financial need
